Elkhorn Predictions
Here are my predictions for Elkhorn:
Dave Glick champs it. (Didn't you see that he got 11th at Nevada City?!)
Cara Gillis crushes it.
Jenn Wangerin and Emily Thurston unleash some mad sprinting.
Sami Fournier makes everyone but Cara cry on the climbs.
Brett Dollar will crush the TT Eddy Merckx style. Velonews will write about it.
Jon Hansen will be so pro, oh so pro.
Molly Cameron will be cool, just fucking cool (and pro).
Ile will be heralded as Baker City's "International Man of Beauty."
Jim Stuck will crush it more than Cara Gillis.
Manuel Mejia organizes the world's largest salad making. No one has seen such a thing in Baker City, but the people like it.
Jonathan Neu takes a flyer in the crit. 1/2 of the Baker City population goes vegan due to the flashing smile he gives the ladies.
Casey McDonald will think to himself, "Don't you wish you were vegan?"
As Justin and I are not racing due to illness and injury :(, we'll try to keep these peeps fed, watered, and massaged. Check the blog for updates.

Injuries? who needs em...
Injuries and illness are yesterdays news. But it look like a few of us are still hurting. This last weekend I took a spill at the Mississippi Avenue crit in PDX. Road rash, and dented ribs, and not to mention a wonky bike were the result. We both came out of it relatively OK, and are on the mend, but sitting up, and breathing deep, being a painfull chore, has had me thinking twice about the stage race coming up.
Today, I feel so much better than this morning. And this morning, I felt so much better than yesterday, and on and on. I am optimistic, that injuries and ilness, can be overcome.
Here's to ALL us trooper with battle scars! A toast all (smoothies, of course), and positive powerful prayers for the race ahead!
M.M.
(yes, I make BIG salad for all. Be prepared!!)
